How do I install Addocu?

Installation is a one-click process from the Google Workspace Marketplace. Once installed, it will appear in the "Extensions" menu of any of your Google Sheets.

Do I need a Google Cloud API Key to use Addocu?

Yes. For Addocu to communicate with Google's APIs, you need to provide your own API Key from a Google Cloud project. This ensures that all API calls are made under your own control and quotas.

Which Google APIs do I need to enable?

For the full functionality of the current version, you need to enable the following APIs in your Google Cloud project: Google Analytics Admin API, Google Tag Manager API, and Looker Studio API.

Do I need to have billing enabled in Google Cloud?

Yes, Google requires billing to be enabled on a project to generate an API Key and activate most of its APIs. However, as detailed below, the normal use of Addocu will not generate costs.

For 99.9% of users, the cost will be zero. The auditing operations that Addocu performs consume a very small number of resources and fall within the generous free tier that Google offers for its APIs. The billing requirement is a measure by Google to verify identity and prevent abuse on their platform.

Is Addocu safe? Where is my data stored?

Security and privacy are fundamental to Addocu. Your data never leaves your Google account. The Add-on runs entirely within Google's infrastructure. Your API Key is stored securely in your UserProperties, a private storage linked to your account. We do not have external servers; all information is read from and written directly to your spreadsheet.
